Position Overview: iDrive Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer Contractor to join our dynamic team.
This is a remote contract position based in either Brazil or Argentina .
The successful candidate will work closely with our global engineering team to design, develop, and implement robust software solutions that drive our logistics technology forward.
You will leverage your extensive experience in JavaScript, NodeJS, TypeScript, React, Microservices , and SQL to help create scalable and maintainable systems.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain software applications, with a focus on scalability, performance, and user experience.
Build and enhance microservices that support the core functionalities of iDrive's logistics solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions that align with business goals.
Develop user-facing applications using React and server-side applications using NodeJS .
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in JavaScript and TypeScript .
Create and maintain SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and optimizing performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack, ensuring minimal downtime.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose innovations that align with the company's goals.
Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, NodeJS, TypeScript, and React .
Experience building and maintaining microservices architectures.
Solid understanding of SQL and database design principles.
Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
is a plus.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases and other modern database technologies.
