This position will be responsible for helping Consensus keep high quality standards, through automation and testing, while we meet aggressive scale and platform growth.What You'll Do:Aid the team in building important integration and end-to-end automated testsEnhance existing test coverage to strengthen our ability to detect issues earlier in the processWork with the team to solicit and help document the acceptance criteria for user storiesBuild test plans that balance test automation with manual verificationCoordinate testing efforts with manual QA personnelUse your expertise in testing web applications to ensure software is deployed to production at the highest possible quality levelIdentify and report issues in our issue tracking systemManage and document test casesHelp the team elevate their ability to deliver quality softwareAid in the process to address critical issues by helping to build tests to expose and address bugsPerform smoke testing and release regression testing as neededWork with the team to ensure automated tests run early and oftenWhat We're Looking For:4+ years of related experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentExperience writing UI and API test automation for web applicationsStrong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, test planning, and testing practices in an agile environmentExperience writing in Playwright or CypressExperience with jest / vitest or other equivalent testing frameworksGood communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to holding yourself and your team accountableExperience with programming languages such as TypeScript / JavaScript, etc.Good understanding of CSS, HTML and the DOMStrong skills and experience testing APIsExperience with docker, kubernetes or other container-based technologies is a plusExperience working with cloud technologies, such as AWS.Good database and SQL skills.Compensation:$70,000 - $80,000 a yearCompensation is anticipated to be between $70,000 - $80,000 USD per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
