As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll join our Engineering team, focusing on crafting high-quality and resilient solutions while upholding coding standards, code quality, and best engineering practices. Experience working with cryptocurrency is essential, as you'll be collaborating on projects involving crypto technologies developing robust and scalable solutions that integrate with various crypto platforms to gather real-time data and analyze market trends. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with other team members to ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial forecasts and projections. You'll cater to a growing international customer base, adeptly conveying technical trade-offs, complexities, and design options while collaborating with a remote team spanning the globe.ResponsibilitiesDevelop software using Java, Spring, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQS, and AWS.Architect, design, and develop projects from end to end.Troubleshoot and resolve production environment issues.Work with systems deployed on AWS cloud infrastructure.Implement CI/CD processes using Feature Flags.Write and maintain automated tests, including test-driven development, integration tests, and continuous integration and deployment pipelines.Collaborate with other engineers to prioritize and ship features.Partner with Product Managers to scope and estimate new work.Requirements4+ years of experience in software development using Java, Spring, and related technologies.Proficient in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other database technologies, including NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.Experience with AWS services and cloud deployment.Prior experience working with cryptocurrency and related technologies.Knowledge of blockchain concepts and protocols.Experience integrating cryptocurrency payment gateways or wallets.Understanding of cryptographic principles and security measures in software development.Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Comfortable working in a remote, globally distributed team.BenefitsUnlimited PTO.Stock Options.Remote Work Environment.Company off-sites.Equal Opportunity EmployerAlmond is an equal opportunity employer.
