We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Data & Cloud to join our client as a key member of their core infrastructure team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping their backend and data systems, building the microservices and data pipelines that fuel their AI-driven applications. You'll collaborate closely with their Web and AI engineers to build resilient infrastructure that scales with us, ensuring security, compliance, and performance.Responsibilities
Data Engineering
Build and maintain data engineering processes and data pipelines, ensuring data is accessible, accurate, and secure (DataBricks)
Optimize and monitor data pipelines' performance, with attention to query efficiency and data integrity
Collaborate with the data science team on MLOps practices and model deployment
Infrastructure and Backend Development
Drive backend development (Python) for the cloud-native web application, ensuring reliable and high-performance services.
Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines to optimize development workflows and accelerate release cycles.
Requirements
Level of English: Fluent
5+ years of experience in software engineering with Python
Proficient in databases, SQL, and data platforms like Databricks
Experienced in building data pipelines and data versioning
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and monitoring and logging tools
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS and its managed services
Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance within cloud environments
Passionate about dataPreferred Qualifications
Data analysis and research
Experience with SOC2 compliance
Experience with MLOps tools and practices
US Crop Insurance knowledge, or agriculture / insurance domains experienceTechnical Stack:
