Senior Integrations Engineer

What you will be doing:
As a Senior Integrations Engineer, you will independently lead customer onboarding onto the Freight Science platform, guiding the integration process from start to finish.
In this role, you'll bring deep expertise in data systems and proactive problem-solving skills to ensure seamless integrations and optimizations.
Working closely with data engineers and data scientists, you will drive enhancements to the Freight Science platform, leading integration improvements and data-driven decision-making.
Manage the onboarding of new customers onto the Freight Science platform, ensuring seamless integration and system alignment.
Engage deeply with database systems, proactively exploring and optimizing customer systems for enhanced performance.
Partner with data engineers and data scientists to drive platform evolution, delivering innovative solutions and integration enhancements.
Gather and analyze requirements from business and development teams, prioritizing opportunities for process improvements and integration efficiencies.
Design and implement complex integration flows, including REST APIs and file-based integrations, focusing on SQL (50% of the role), ETL, data analysis, and data exploration.
Adhere to and promote established development standards, integration processes, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Integrate user and stakeholder feedback to inform the development of new products and enhancements to current integrations.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Bachelor's or higher in Math, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative field is required (advanced degrees are a plus).
5+ years of experience in integrations engineering, with a strong portfolio of complex integrations and system optimizations.
Advanced expertise in SQL, REST APIs, ETL, data analysis, data exploration, and Git.
Strong skills in code review, software design, iterative development, and problem decomposition.
Proficient in Python for validation and integration tasks, with the ability to read and troubleshoot code in Node and Go.
Experience with Azure Cloud Services; familiarity with Kubernetes configuration (not infrastructure management) is a strong plus.
Proactive and innovative, with demonstrated success in tackling complex problems and optimizing systems.
Demonstrated engagement with open-source projects, active GitHub contributions, or participation in tech meetups is a plus.
