Miryco Consultants is looking for a an experienced Tax Accountant to join a Financial Services company in Brazil as a Senior Tax Accountant.The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax related decisions and activities in the organisation, helping them stay tax-compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws.Responsibilities:Manage outsourced tax computations for Latin American countries, including Brazil, covering direct and indirect taxes.Ensure compliance with controls, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes.Collaborate with finance teams to extract data from ERP systems and ensure accurate reporting.Support half-year and year-end tax reporting (IFRS & local standards), working with external advisors as needed.Assist with ad hoc projects, including market expansion, and ensure tax compliance in new regions.Contribute to team initiatives on budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.Stay engaged with all tax-related activities and work closely with the tax team.Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance.Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP.Working knowledge of Brazilian tax laws, dealing with direct and in-direct taxes.Strong communication and analytical skills.Location: Brazil, hybridPlease note our client is unable to offer sponsorship for this opportunity.
