The Role: Shopify Developer
As a Shopify Developer, you will be the driving force behind the development and execution of high-performing Shopify websites for our clients. We strive on bulletproof processes, full quality assured coding. You will help become a leader in our development team, ensuring that we deliver top-notch websites & projects that are not only visually stunning but also optimized for conversion and scalability.
Leadership & Strategy
You'll become part of a small knit high performing group, setting the vision and strategy for all Shopify development projects. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our development processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our business goals.
Development Excellence
You'll oversee the end-to-end development of Shopify websites, from initial concept through to final delivery. This includes everything from custom theme development to integrating third-party apps, custom apps and APIs
Client Interaction
You'll work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional, high-performing Shopify sites. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible way will be key.
Continuous Improvement
You'll stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with the latest Shopify platform updates, e-commerce trends, and development best practices. You'll be responsible for implementing new technologies and practices that can help us deliver even better results for our clients.
Collaboration
You'll work closely with our CRO specialists, designers, Paddy the founder:) and marketing team to ensure that all development work is aligned with broader business objectives. You'll also contribute to client strategy discussions, offering insights into how development work can support business growth.
Skills & Experience
7+ years in Shopify development:
You're an expert in Shopify's ecosystem with hands-on experience in theme development, Liquid templating, and the Shopify API.
Leadership experience:
You've led a development team or served as the head of a department, with a proven track record of mentoring and growing talent.
Strong understanding of front-end & back-end technologies:
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js. Know Shopify inside out, be a code nerd lol.
Strict on deadlines:
Deadlines, especially for websites are critical. You must show efficiency and strictness on meeting deadlines, this comes down to your perception of how much you value a client, our agencies and your own reputation.
Problem-solving skills:
You have a knack for identifying challenges and finding creative solutions that drive results. Everything is about reacting to a event thats happened for or with a client, if we react in a proper manner, the outcome changes.
Excellent communication:
You're able to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders with ease. Manage clients responses to keep them calm, make sure they feel looked after and that we are always in control or working on their tasks.
Passion for e-commerce:
You're excited about the possibilities within the e-commerce space and are always looking for ways to learn more about it and the Shopify/CRO ecosystem.
We're looking for people who have a drive for fitness outside their work life, as we believe in the importance of work-life balance and personal well-being.
Key skills:
Shopify, Shopify Liquid, eCommerce or D2C experience
Experience of the JavaScript ecosystem, e.g. Next, React, TypeScript
Any Docker, CI/CD pipelines, APIs

Working Hours and Time Off
Working days are Monday to Friday, but there are no strict working hours as long as you are primarily in the UK but trickling into USA timezone if you can. We maintain a performance-based culture and are flexible with working hours. All time off is paid time off, with no limit to the number of vacation days (except during Q4). We encourage travelling and taking time to "refresh & re-charge!"
