Additionally, the Special Program for English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) at UFABC – a strategy for "Internationalization at Home" in the following areas: Machine Learning; Economic Sciences; Aerospace Engineering; Production Engineering.Remuneration: R$ 10,481.64, equivalent to the sum of the basic salary and the qualification allowance (Ph.D.) for the "Adjunct-A1 Class" in the Higher Education Teaching career.Work Regime: 40 (forty) weekly hours, full-time, with exclusive dedication.The duration of the visiting professor contract will be:1 (one) year for Brazilian visiting professors, renewable, provided the total duration does not exceed 2 (two) years;up to 2 (two) years for foreign visiting professors, renewable, provided the total duration does not exceed 4 (four) years.Eligibility CriteriaProfessionals hired as Visiting Professors must:Hold a doctoral degree for at least two (2) years;Be a professor or researcher of recognized competence in their field;Have relevant scientific production, preferably within the last five (5) years;Be up to date with electoral obligations, in case of Brazilian candidates;Present a Military Service Status Certificate or Certificate of Exemption from Military Service, in case of Brazilian male candidates;Demonstrate physical and mental fitness to fulfill the contract;Not be under any sanction of ineligibility imposed by any federal, state, or municipal public entity;Provide other documents as required for employment.In addition to the requirements outlined in item 3.1, positions listed under Codes 10, 11, 12, and 13 require proof of English proficiency equivalent to or higher than Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR);Acceptable proof of English proficiency includes results from TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or Cambridge exams.Nationals of English-speaking countries are exempt from the requirement in item 3.2.Professionals hired for the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) position under Code 06 must have qualifications compatible with teaching Libras at the higher education level.Postgraduate (doctoral) diplomas must be duly registered (if national), and in case of foreign diplomas not yet recognized and registered by a Brazilian university, will be subject to an equivalence evaluation by a special UFABC committee.Hiring is prohibited under Article 6 of Law nº.
