Their mission is to protect clients making significant financial decisions that impact families and future generations.Position Overview:The Virtual Small Business Analyst will support small business owners and investors by performing appraisals, valuations, and consultations.
This role involves creating detailed financial and operational reports, engaging with clients to address inquiries, and using ALPs proprietary tools and third-party software for analyses.
This is a client-facing role that demands strong financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and familiarity with small business operations.
While this is an M&A type of role, our focus is on small businesses, which makes our business very different in the world of finance.
We do not expect to find any candidates that have experience in all areas covered by this job.

We will help you learn all the details of the processes and tools we use.Key Responsibilities:Perform machinery and equipment appraisals using data and photos provided by field agents.Conduct business valuations for entrepreneurs, buyers, and other stakeholders.Meet with clients via Zoom to discuss reports, findings, and recommendations.Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and professional reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.Use ALPs internal tools and external modeling software to perform analyses.Engage with centers of influence such as bankers, accountants, and other professionals.Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive client information.Adapt and work with incomplete or ambiguous data to provide actionable insights.Qualifications:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and CRM/project management tools like Nimble or Asana.Familiarity with financial statements and the ability to interpret various formats of financial data and make qualified and sound assumptions that you can document when the necessary data simply does not exist.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.A desire for continuous learning and professional growth.A burning personal need to check and re-check your work, assumptions, and mental framework around what you're doing.Trustworthy and capable of managing private information in adherence to non-disclosure agreements.Nice-to-Haves:Interest in machinery or vehicles.Experience as a small business owner or working with small businesses (revenue under $5M, EBITDA under $500k).Background in appraisals, accounting, business brokerage, or small business banking.A degree in business with a focus on accounting, finance, or entrepreneurship.Please note: To ensure prompt processing of your application, we kindly request that you submit your resume and intro video in English format.
