Startup CPG, the go-to hub for emerging brands, seeks an events and community coordinator passionate about helping startups succeed by helping us execute partnerships with some of the best-in-class brands and service providers in the industry.
Our business model is simple - be immensely valuable to emerging consumer brands for free.
Our community has over 20k members and hosts over 100 events around the US and 3 other countries.
Most of the events are smaller meetups up to 100 attendees, and with a few bigger events with over 500 attendees.
You can learn more about our community here.Startup CPG is looking for an experienced and organized community coordinator to join our growing team.
This person will work closely with our Social Media Manager and Marketing Director to create content, write copy, schedule posts and engage with our community on social media platforms and to manage and moderate our Slack channel (customer service); Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Youtube and Slack.Key DutiesAssist the marketing team in generating ideas for social media content that follows current trends.Create graphics using Canva.Write engaging captions for content that has already been created by the marketing team.Combine content and captions to schedule posts using Later, Instagram and LinkedInFollow up on posts by engaging with the community.
Responding to comments, sharing and liking content posted by members of our community.Creating and sharing Instagram stories.Film & edit Instagram reels/tiktok videos upon request.Moderate our Slack community based on guidelines and update spreadsheet with tasksResponding to general emails we receive from the community inboxIdeal characteristicsFluent English for communication via email with brands, vendors and partnersComfortable with researching trends, coming up with content ideas, talking to people and sharing ideas to improve overall workflow and eventsVery organized and proactiveOwnership mentality - learn our principles, understand our values and brands, and rather than wait for instructions, own the relationship and drive valueExperience with Gmail/Google Drive and Canva,Later, Linkedin, and Slack and Notion is a plusExperienced using CapCut, InShot, or VideoLeap for editing videos.Available during West coast working hours (or with a good overlap) on a consistent basisDetails2+ years experience with social media is required, consumer brands industry experience is preferredContractor role, pay range is R$25-30/hrEstimate 15+ hours per week, contractor role, this can become a full time positionOur team is remote, but it's a bonus if you're in Sao Paulo
