**The Role**:

- Will be responsible for managing and optimising the lifecycle of client's software assets.
- Will oversee the acquisition, tracking, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of software licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, including IT service teams, procurement, legal, and vendors, to effectively manage and optimise the organisation's software assets.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance with software license agreements, monitor license usage, and manage license renewals and audits.
- Collaborate with procurement teams, IT and Business Owners to plan, acquire, and deploy software licenses in accordance with business needs.
- Establish and maintain effective processes and controls for managing software assets.
- Evaluate software license agreements, assess pricing options, and coordinate software purchases.
- Manage the process of identifying appropriate usage to be cross charged to the Australian Hub.
- Conduct regular reconciliations to validate and update the accuracy of software asset data in the ServiceNow platform.
- Maintain a centralised repository of software license information and track license entitlements.
- Monitor license usage, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and avoiding any potential penalties or risks.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate software vendors, negotiate license agreements, and manage vendor relationships.
- Conduct proactive software license audits and resolve any compliance issues.
- Collaborate with IT Service teams to ensure proper software deployment, including installation, updates, and patches.
- Implement processes for managing software configurations and version control.
- Coordinate with IT Service Teams to optimise software deployment practices, minimise compatibility issues, and ensure license compliance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in software licensing, maintenance, and renewals. This may involve analysing software usage patterns, exploring alternative licensing models, and recommending strategies to reduce software costs.
- Collaborate with finance teams to forecast software licensing costs and budgets accurately.
- Identify software license consolidation and rationalisation opportunities to minimise costs while meeting business needs.
- Ensure software license compliance and manage risks associated with software asset management, including data security and licensing audits.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure software licenses are in compliance with security policies and standards.
- Stay updated on software licensing regulations, industry trends, and best practices to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.

**What skills and experience you bring**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related discipline required.
- 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar capacity.
- Proven experience in software asset management, preferably in a large-scale organisation.
- Experience with the ServiceNow SAM Pro module is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of software asset lifecycle management, licensing agreements, and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of ITIL practices and software asset management frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to software asset management.
