About You You are a highly enthusiastic individual with proven hands-on experience with PL/SQL development and Oracle SQL. You will have Microsoft technology stack knowledge with experience in Database development using Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Developer. You bring experience in GIT and knowledge of development methodologies and intimate knowledge of SDLC. You are an excellent interpersonal communicator dedicated to meeting initiative deadlines and have an eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies and processes. You have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and appropriate tertiary qualifications with a passion for software development and working in a customer-centric modern software development business. You are a developer with all-around automation PL/SQL experience and have worked with software solutions involving direct customer or Operations interaction. You have a degree in Software Programming, Computer Science, or Engineering with experience in the utility/energy industry and possess intermediate to professional-level English communication skills. Key Responsibilities Work individually or within a team on software product consulting projects to meet specific customer requirements.
This may include support, maintenance, and administration.
Work directly with the client and may travel to the client site. Provide technical direction and guidance to the delivery team and take responsibility for project deliverables through all phases of the SDLC. Develop Technical Specification documents and design and programming of agreed developments/modifications to the system. Assist other developers in the design of their components and collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure an understanding of clients' requirements. Assist Business Analysts with defining customer requirements while providing unit testing of code and quality assurance of the system. Resolve issues relating to the integration of project deliverables and system promotions to existing and new customers. Identify situations where the system must be customized to meet client requirements. Prepare estimates of the labor hours and calendar time required to implement proposed changes to the software or correct root causes of operational problems, including accurately estimating time frames required to complete assigned tasks.
