As a Software Development Engineer, you will be part of the R&D team developing Torizon and its associated development tools and ecosystem, part of which is
open-sourced .
You will focus on the development and maintenance of the VS Code IDE Extensions for Torizon.
This extension provides tooling for developing embedded Linux applications using Docker containers in various languages and frameworks.
You must adopt DevOps principles to ensure the highest software quality on fast iteration development cycles.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain all the different components related to Visual Studio Code IDE extensions for Torizon.
Contribute and manage community around open source code related to the IDE Extensions.
Suggest improvements related to products, software offerings, documentation, processes, etc.
to allow continuous improvement.
Work closely and proactively with other team members in an Agile development environment and participate in technical analysis and decisions.
Communicate your work progress, coordinate with other development teams, and participate in R&D working groups.
Skills:
Mandatory:
Intermediary software development experience in at least one language: .NET, C++, Typescript/Node.js.
Good Linux knowledge.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Docker and container
usage .
Experience with Visual Studio Code extension development.
Embedded Linux software development, toolchain configuration, and remote debugging on various programming languages - such as C++, C#/.NET and Python - and related frameworks.
DevOps workflows and best practices.
Experience with Scrum or any other Agile methodology.
