What You'll Do
This is your opportunity to join our Business Systems Engineering team as a Software Engineer I.
In this role, you will support, upgrade, and enhance the backend administration tool that controls all of Trader Interactive's websites.
As an Engineer I, you will work with the code daily, analyzing the needs of the tool, making recommendations, and contributing critically to its testing and development and be a big part of something big.
With considerable oversight and guidance, assist where needed throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from analyzing needs, to then designing, testing and developing software to meet business needs
Help document processes and procedures through the use of diagrams and flowcharts
Research hardware limitations that could impact software design
Identify issues and common patterns with system quality
Update existing codebases and peer review code changes
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
What We're Looking For
0-2 years of hands on experience in an engineering role
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science or related field or successful graduation from a coding Bootcamp
Previous experience working through the entire software development lifecycle preferred
Previous experience in high-level programming languages, PHP preferred
Exceptional communication skills and strong analytical and reasoning skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to troubleshoot software issues, debug large databases, and visualize processes and outcomes
Bonus Points:
Previous experience with AWS
