Our Software Support team is looking for a Software Engineer in Support to be the technical voice of our products in post-sales technical support activities. We seek to maximize the value our customers gain from our products in media compression, playback, and analytics.Your ImpactYou will make an impact that matters by:Becoming intimately familiar with customers' integration and use of Bitmovin products in their video workflows to assist in problem identification and resolutionHaving experience in software development with JavaScript OR Java, and foundational knowledge of Swift, Kotlin, PythonTriaging and troubleshooting reported support cases to determine root causes and find potential solutions or workaroundsBeing the voice of Bitmovin to customers, including industry leading Video Streaming content providers, and advocating for those customers' needs within BitmovinEstablishing a trusted advisor relationship with customers, offering custom solutions to address reported problems, providing recommendations and training while taking named technical ownership of key growth and strategic accounts across within the region, in partnership with Customer Success ManagersIt would be great if you have experience in:Support or other service-oriented customer-facing rolesExcellent written and verbal communication, love for communicating with peopleSoftware development and troubleshooting complex technical issues as well as researching and offering solutions, including potential workaroundsUsing support and CRM tools such as Zendesk/Intercom/Jira Service DeskVideo compression and/or playback technologiesIt would be even better if you have:Second Language (Spanish, written and spoken)Experience with mobile developmentExperience with Video encodingExperience with Git and CI/CD processesKnowledge of DevOps methodologies and appreciation for the value that technologies like Serverless and Kubernetes bring to the software deployment and development processExperience in Linux systems administrationA desire for a career path as a Solutions Engineer or Solutions Architect, as opposed to contributing to core product developmentWhy do this at BitmovinThere is a lot on offer here:View the benefits on our Careers PageGet to know our outstanding culture showcased on LinkedInCheck the employee reviews on GlassdoorApply for the role, and let's get talking!
