Software Engineer In Test

Lead SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) MUST be Proficient in English Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Lead SDET with extensive experience in test automation and framework development. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, coding skills, and the ability to lead automation efforts within an Agile team. This role requires a self-motivated professional who can own test automation, work closely with business partners, and ensure high-quality deliverables across UI, API, and backend systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks for UI and API testing. Collaborate with business partners to define and implement test automation requirements. Automate and execute smoke, functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT tests. Ensure test coverage for user stories based on acceptance criteria. Deploy automated tests in CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, Docker). Create and maintain SQL queries and test data for automated and manual testing. Report testing status, milestones, risks, and issues to leadership. Ensure system changes do not negatively impact downstream systems. Required Skills: 8-10 years of experience in designing and maintaining test automation frameworks. 5 years of hands-on coding experience in Java/Groovy. Proven experience with API testing using Java/Groovy, Cucumber, Gradle, and Jenkins. Strong database skills, including Oracle and SQL. Familiarity with Git, version control systems, and IDEs like IntelliJ or VS Code. Experience with SDLC tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, and working in Agile environments. Preferred Skills: Experience with Node.js, AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions), Selenium WebDriver, and Playwright. ISTQB and Oracle Java certifications are a plus. Qualifications: Proven leadership experience in test automation teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
