ADP AIM (Access & Identity Management) is hiring a Manager of Product Development.
In this role, you will lead software engineers from multiple scrum teams that own various features and domains. You will spend time checking in with your team, stateside or abroad. You will facilitate the team's work through coaching and guidance, providing leadership with realistic expectations and deadlines. You will be the final set of eyes to review technical solutions for quarterly initiatives and manage ad-hoc requests as they arise. You'll be expected to find ways to improve day-to-day activities for the major group based on key objectives. You'll be accountable for the uncompromising quality of products that impact people's lives.
To thrive in this role, you need to have skills in three pillars: Software Engineering, Project Management, and Leadership. You'll need a solid understanding of software development at scale with microservices and micro-frontend architectures, including knowledge of Java, Spring, Kafka, MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines, and be up to date with technology trends. You need to know how to manage software development projects using Agile Methodologies, applying the processes that best fit each team. You need to know what the best practices on the Software Development Life Cycle are. You need to manage software engineers' careers pursuing their growth altogether with ADP's growth.
Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively will keep the team informed of company-wide initiatives and leaders comfortable with the team's progress. Team collaboration and exchange of ideas are central to projects here. You will be a role model for motivating yourself and the team to maintain positive momentum and energy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
Drive cultural change and transformation: Lead, inspire and engage a team as you continue to transform, develop, design, and deliver our next-generation platform to clients.
Build teams that thrive: As an experienced technical leader, you want everyone to shine. You'll start each day by checking in with your engineering team to identify priorities and challenges.
Build Products: You will use your technical expertise to review your team's work and help your people excel in an Agile environment.
Variety of work: There is no typical day. You could be checking in with a team in the UK one minute, meeting with leadership to review initiatives for the coming quarter later.
Influence and inspire confidence: You are comfortable presenting to senior leaders, product owners, architects, and peers.
YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN:
Have courageous team collaboration: Courage comes from how associates are willing to have difficult conversations, speak up, be an owner, and challenge one another's ideas to find the best solution.
Deliver at epic scale: We deliver real user outcomes using strong judgment and good instincts.
Be surrounded by curious learners: We align ourselves with other smart people in an environment where we grow and elevate one another.
