No two days are alike.
You will:Spend time checking in with your team, stateside or abroad.Facilitate the team's work through coaching and guidance.Provide leadership with realistic expectations and deadlines.Be the final set of eyes to review technical solutions for quarterly initiatives.Manage ad-hoc requests as they arise.Find ways to improve day-to-day activities for the major group based on key objectives.You'll be accountable for something significant: the uncompromising quality of products that impact people's lives.To thrive in this role, you need to have skills in three pillars:Software EngineeringProject ManagementLeadershipYou'll need a solid understanding of software development at scale with microservices and micro-frontend architectures, including knowledge of Java, Spring, Kafka, MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines, and be up to date with technology trends.There are many challenges, however, as we settle as a global Access & Identity Management for ADP.
Key areas include:Data synchronizationData qualityScalabilityMonitoringKnowledge of Splunk and Dynatrace will be beneficial.
You need to know how to manage software development projects using Agile Methodologies, applying the processes that best fit each team.
Additionally, it's important to understand the best practices on the Software Development Life Cycle.You will manage software engineers' careers, pursuing their growth alongside ADP's growth.
Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively will keep the team informed of company-wide initiatives and leaders comfortable with the team's progress.Team collaboration and exchange of ideas are central to projects here.
You will be a role model for motivating yourself and the team to maintain positive momentum and energy.
