ADP AIM (Access & Identity Management) is hiring a Manager of Product Development.
Are you inspired by transformation and making an impact on the lives of millions of people every day, even when it's messy?
Are you empathic to client needs, the people you lead, and internal partners to drive success but can make the hard calls and are not afraid to make bold moves?
Are you a technologist first and foremost who approaches every problem wearing that hat while going out of your way to champion creativity and build diverse, productive, and engaged teams?
Well, this may be the role for you. Ready to design what's next?
In this role, you will lead software engineers from multiple scrum teams that own various features and domains. No two days are alike. You will spend time checking in with your team, stateside or abroad. You will facilitate the team's work through coaching and guidance, providing leadership with realistic expectations and deadlines. You will be the final set of eyes to review technical solutions for quarterly initiatives and manage ad-hoc requests as they arise. You'll be expected to find ways to improve day-to-day activities for the major group based on key objectives. You'll be accountable for something significant: the uncompromising quality of products that impact people's lives.
To thrive in this role, you need to have skills in three pillars: Software Engineering, Project Management, and Leadership. You'll need a solid understanding of software development at scale with microservices and micro-frontend architectures, including knowledge of Java, Spring, Kafka, MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines, and be up to date with technology trends. There are many challenges, however, as we settle as a global Access & Identity Management for ADP, data synchronization, data quality, scalability, and monitoring are key. Splunk and Dynatrace knowledge will help you. You need to know how to manage software development projects using Agile Methodologies, applying the processes that best fit each team. You need to know what the best practices on the Software Development Life Cycle are. You need to manage software engineers' careers pursuing their growth altogether with ADP's growth.
Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively will keep the team informed of company-wide initiatives and leaders comfortable with the team's progress. Team collaboration and exchange of ideas are central to projects here. You will be a role model for motivating yourself and the team to maintain positive momentum and energy. Pace does not scare you. Everyone can lose the big picture from time to time, but you're the team leader who helps everyone find it again and deliver.

Drive cultural change and transformation:Lead, inspire and engage a team as you continue to transform, develop, design, and deliver our next-generation platform to clients.
Build teams that thrive:As an experienced technical leader, you want everyone to shine. You'll start each day by checking in with your engineering team to identify priorities and challenges. When you see a potential issue, you never leave things hanging and unfinished. When you and your team deliver a finished product, it's as polished as you could make it.
Variety of work:There is no typical day. You could be checking in with a team in UK one minute, meeting with leadership to review initiatives for the coming quarter later and tomorrow handling a few ad hoc requests from your peers in other departments.
