**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 1.5 years of experience in a leadership role (technical leadership or people management, supervision, or team leadership).
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 1 year of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience developing large-scale systems, with large data processing or complex UX flows with users.

**Responsibilities**:
- Establish and follow software development best practices and a robust engineering culture.
- Participate in the definition, design, and development of the next generation of Alphabet's risk and compliance products.
- Work with both back end and front end, learning the main technologies in Google's software development stack.
- Work closely with our UX team to ensure our products reflect product excellence and are accessible.
