Sous Chef - Asian Cuisine At Sofitel Bahrain, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef with expertise in Asian cuisine, having a strong knowledge of Sushi preparation. In this role, you will be entrusted with ensuring the exceptional quality of our culinary offerings as you will play a vital role in the creation and execution of innovative menu items, while also providing guidance and fostering the growth of your team.

The sky is your limit.What you will be doing: Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menusEnsure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standardsCommunicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedbackEnsure all kitchen colleagues are aware of standards & expectationsMaintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentationAdhere to menu engineering program and create seasonal and holiday menus according to hotel guidelinesControl outlet food cost, through menu engineering, production efficiencies, and food wasteConduct corrective disciplinary action forms and documentation as neededComplete daily temperature log books and ensure FIFO of all received goodsPlace work orders for items needing repairOther duties as assignedQualifications
Your experience and skills include: Minimum 2 to 3 years of Asian cuisine experience from a luxury backgroundKnowledge of Sushi preparation is a mustDiploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an assetA passion for food, and a desire to further develop culinary and leadership skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work cohesively and collectively as part of a teamAdditional Information
