Purpose:
Positions holders are responsible for logistics planning, controlling, and implementing processes, for example related to global fleet management, utilisation, allocation including:
- Planning & Control.
- Movement & Storage.
- General Logistics optimisation.
- Developing transport schedules, methods, and routes.
- Cargo planning, and strategies to improve depot/ logistics service centre operations.
- Analysing and projecting transportation costs.
- Coordinating customs clearances and permits.
- Planning addresses capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals.
Accountability Level:
Experienced individual contributor (specialist operational/technical role, or experienced professional).
Works independently, with limited supervision.
Problems faced may be difficult but can be addressed within an established framework
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration of mobilisation and de-mobilisation / delivery of equipment and material to all new and existing project sites across defined territories, ensure submission of necessary documentation and update relevant systems and databases.
- Ensure correct documentation of import and export processes for all materials and related equipment, liaising with appropriate authorities, as necessary.
- Administration of required driver and cargo documentation and certifications.
- Ensure that the status reporting is maintained.
- Organise & coordinate transportation for all overland movement of equipment & material, documentation for cross border movements globally and insurance cover for all shipments (Sea/Air/road) for imports, exports and for cross movement.
- Responsible for ensuring all Aggreko equipment (containerised) has its CSC plate validated at all times.
- Organise renewals and issue of Sea Worthy Certificates as required.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels in all depots in all locations.
- Ensure compliance to Aggreko procedures including ISO/ Internal/ External/ PLC Audits.
- Always ensure strict adherence to Aggreko's QHSE policies and practices.
