As a Mechanical Engineer inside SAS (Steering, Axle and Suspension) team, you will be in charge to develop technical solutions for local and global projects, solve quality issues and support parts localization for components and systems within your responsibility area.
You will get an opportunity to work together with highly skilled colleagues, in a global environment and working in new technology vehicles that will contribute to reduce the CO2 emissions.
Your daily activities will include but not be limited to: Be responsible and lead the development and installation of hydraulic steering system and components;Provide technical solutions and design work that fulfills the business targets and requirements;Develop and share technical competence with other development sites;Control product cost and support budget estimation;Develop validation plans and project timing plans;Support Design Reviews, participate in risk analysis, root cause investigations and DFMEA;To play a key role in a cross-functional network;Secure a continuous optimization of product quality and cost;Release documentation (3D models, drawings, technical regulations, technical descriptions, product structure);Make use of and apply Agile methodology.Your future teamSAS (Steering, Axle and Suspension) is a group within the Chassis department that is responsible for the development of brake systems, suspensions, axles and steering systems for Latin America trucks' application.
The group is part of a global network and works in close cooperation with other sites such as Sweden, India, France and USA.

In this role, you will bring:
Essential skills and needed experience:
Mechanical Engineer Degree or equivalent;Expertise in steering systems and hydraulic installations;Broad experience as a product development engineer in the automotive industry;Wide manufacturing processes (stamping, casting, injection...) and deep material properties knowledge;Application of Quality tools (Risk Analysis, DFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
);Excellent communication skills and thrive in cooperation with others;Flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks, and accept new challenges, responsibilities and assignments;International and multi-cultural experience with a global and cross-functional organization.Would be a differential: Knowledge of truck systems, such as brakes, suspensions, non-driven axles and applications;3D CAD knowledge, preferable software PTC/CREO;Knowledge on Agile methodology;Master's Degree or Post Graduation in area of concern.Ready for the next move?If you want to make a real impact in your career, the transportation business is where you want to be.
