JOB TITLE: Lead Engineer SAM (Brazil) – Market Solutions (PO & ETP)POSITION CODE: 70404371 ORG UNIT NAME: Polymers SBU LOCATION: Brazil or Remote, AMR Market Solutions TeamSUMMARY:Responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to a broad range of customers and products.Provide timely and quality technical services to PO & ETP customers in the region to achieve & ensure elevated levels of customer satisfaction. Secure optimal technical support to customers including handling of technical complaints and providing swift resolution.Use common processes and decision criteria to execute on SABIC Petrochemicals strategic priorities, develop/maintain key customers in the South America (SAM) Region.Work with the broader MDTM team to understand market, application needs, and developments as well as build strong relationships with customers.Role requires integration and multidisciplinary project-based collaboration between Innovation & Technology, Sales, and Business Unit.Collaborate interdependently and align with global MDTM peers to streamline quality notification processes, optimize global resource utilization, and define/execute common business processes and objectives.Help generate data to support marketing collateral, brochures to promote SABIC resins.Job Purpose & Responsibilities:Introduce and promote SABIC's existing and new portfolio of products with technical expertise.Coordinate customer film/parts testing, benchmark new & existing products. Function as liaison with manufacturing/assets to address any issues.Troubleshoot processing and end-use performance issues.Maintain pace with the latest trends in products and technology by maintaining close relationships with customers.Provide swift technical support to customers (technical advice, complaint investigation/resolution, training, etc.).Anticipate and recommend product portfolio changes to BU, asset to meet market needs.Analyze & consolidate technical market trends, opportunities & feedback to Business Unit (BU).MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors/Advanced in Engineering/Science Degree preferred (Polymer/Materials Science or related field).Marketing & Sales experience/training would help but not necessary.5-10 years of customer-facing experience (internal/external).Understanding of complaint resolution process, product qualifications, familiar with technical specifications and regulatory requirements.Working knowledge of statistical concepts and tools.Demonstrated high degree of ownership and accountability.Ability to work across multiple products and a wide customer base (OEMs, Molders, Development teams, etc.).Excellent written and oral communication skills including technical writing.Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.Strong attention to detail.Mechanical aptitude and comfortable troubleshooting issues.Advanced English.COMPETENCES:Proactive, resilient, and have an analytical mindset.Prioritize tasks and lead teams to ensure resources are used effectively.Team player (developing, motivating, building successful diverse teams & relationships).Drive for success, planning and organizing, hold people accountable.Ability to energize others and make decisions based on limited information.Ability to coach and mentor less experienced engineers.Ability to work independently as well as in a dynamic team environment.
