Senior Engineering Designer
to join our
Commercial & Institutional – PM/CM Team
at our office in
Bethlehem, PA.
YOUR IMPACT:

We provide the necessary tools and skillset to effectively manage construction projects from schools and apartment buildings to municipal buildings and warehouses.
The Senior Engineering Designer leads the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract, or construction, drawings.
This key role collaborates with design teams on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.
At CHA, the Senior Engineering Designer oversees the work of junior designers and provides guidance as needed to ensure quality work is produced.
The Senior Engineering Designer produces and revises routine drawings and examines complex contract documents/drawings for errors.
The professional in this role has proficient knowledge of the engineering discipline standards, codes, and systems and is familiar with company standards, client expectations and typical engineering practices.
The Senior Engineering Designer prepares project "As-Built" documentation and completes field assignments when appropriate.
This individual aides in the development of technical reports, material costs and construction estimates.
The Senior Engineering Designer uses drawing production software (REVIT, AutoCAD, etc.)
to create construction documents.

REQUIREMENTS:
Associates Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science or related technical field is required
A minimum of 7 years of document production experience in the related engineering discipline
Experience with technical specification preparation, submittal review, and approvals required
Demonstrates a solid working knowledge about the respective engineering discipline
Demonstrates a strong ability in design drawing layout
Proficiency with discipline-based software (AutoCAD and Revit) required; proficiency with AutoDesk Civil 3D preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
Strong work ethic and desire to work in a collaborative team environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
SALARY RANGE:
$80,000 - $102,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
