Lumentum is seeking a Senior FPGA Verification Engineer to work on Brazil R&D site. This person will play a key role in the development and verification of FPGA designs for cutting-edge X-Ray systems and Spectroscopy products, contributing to innovative solutions that drive Lumentum's advancements in scientific and industrial instrumentation.
In addition to working closely with the rest of the FPGA team, you will collaborate with other R&D engineering groups including hardware, firmware, metrology, and verification.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans for FPGA verification.
Collaborate with Systems engineering team to identify and resolve verification issues.
Perform RTL simulations and debug using industry-standard verification tools (e.g., SystemVerilog, UVM, etc.).
Create and maintain automated and fully random verification environments.
Generate verification coverage metrics.
Document verification plans, results, and processes.
Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
Education background: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with FPGA verification methodologies (e.g., UVM, OVM, object-oriented verification methodologies, or similar).
Proficiency in hardware description languages like VHDL/Verilog and SystemVerilog.
Hands-on experience with simulation tools (ModelSim, Questa, etc.).
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Tcl).
Understanding of FPGA design flow and verification challenges.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Assets:
Strong experience with AMD(Xilinx) or Altera FPGAs and tools.
Experience with embedded processor SoC design.
Knowledge of digital signal processing concepts.
Familiarity with Linux environment development.
