Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PHP Developer to join our team, focusing on an existing PHP SQLServer project aimed at increasing maintainability, adding new features, and integrating this project with our core services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in PHP development and MySQL, along with familiarity in working with SQLServer databases. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the functionality of our systems while ensuring seamless integration across various platforms.
Job Responsibilities
Work on an existing PHP SQLServer project to enhance maintainability and performance.
Add new features based on stakeholder requirements while ensuring minimal disruption to existing functionalities.
Integrate the current project with core services to streamline operations and improve user experiences.
Collaborate with other developers, product managers, and technical leads to gather requirements for enhancements or new features.
Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers while maintaining coding standards.
Document complex processes clearly using diagrams and written documentation for future reference by team members.
Troubleshoot issues within the application; identify root causes of problems related to database interactions or application logic.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning meetings, daily standups, retrospectives etc., contributing insights from a development perspective.
Basic Qualifications
Extensive experience in PHP programming language.
Strong proficiency in MySQL database management; familiarity with SQLServer is a bonus.
Experience designing database schemas alongside infrastructure architecture principles.
Familiarity with C# programming language; capable enough to build APIs from template API projects.
Ability to clearly document complex processes using written documentation alongside visual aids like flowcharts or diagrams.
Nice to Have Skills
Experience working within cloud environments would be beneficial especially if integrated into service architectures.
Understanding RESTful API design principles may offer advantages when creating integrations between different services.
