We're seeking a Sr. PHP full stack developer who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that's always pushing boundaries. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performing SaaS solutions and will have complete, end-to-end ownership of projects. The ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of the automotive industry, e-commerce, web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages. The Sr. PHP full stack developer will join a small team that uses new technology to solve challenges for both the front-end and back-end architecture, ultimately delivering amazing experiences for global users. Objectives of this role Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements The ability to fix complicated problems in a timely manner Assume leadership of new projects, from conceptualization to deployment Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities Responsibilities Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment Develop and maintain scalable and high-performing software solutions using the specified tech stack Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features Ensure code quality through unit and functional testing Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability Troubleshoot and debug and fix issues to ensure smooth functionality Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable software Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent videoconferences Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices Required skills and qualifications Minimum of six years of experience in building large-scale PHP software applications Expert Knowledge of PHP, Python , Javascript (Node.JS, React, Typescript, ES6, Cypress). - Experience with PHP frameworks will not be considered Expert knowledge of MySQL and writing complex high performance SQL queries. Fluent written and spoken English Expert knowledge of building ecommerce websites Experience and expert knowledge of payment processing Experience building fraud mitigation tools Experience in the automotive industry and automotive parts standards such as ACES and PIES Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Experience working in a small team startup environment Experience working on or implementing e-commerce platforms or solutions Familiarity with AWS and cloud computing services Ability to write and maintain clear and concise technical documentation Experience in search technologies such as full text lexical search and/or semantic vector based search Strong understanding of Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines Experience with ML, ML embeddings and generative AI Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Experience in building web applications Experience in designing and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs Experience processing large datasets and working with Big Data and Analytics.
