Mission: The Process Automation Project Engineer will provide project support of process automation systems to focus on modernization efforts, growth, and cost savings opportunities. The Specialist will also provide high-level technical support to process automation colleagues at the plant level to serve as subject matter experts on the various Industrial Control System platforms utilized by ADM.Main activities:Develop or modify Process Automation controls to achieve desired level of automated control of processes, and troubleshoot systems to identify and resolve hardware or software deficiencies.Utilize capital project guidelines to prioritize process automation projects from concept through project approval and delivery.Work well within groups and with minimal supervision to meet department goals.Ability to skillfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and success in an environment of competing priorities.Occasional company travel and on call may be required.Project start-up support will be required.Requirements:A Bachelor's degree in a technical area (engineering, Electrical, Computer Science, or Automation Engineering, etc) or equivalent experience in the Process Automation field is required.NR-10 certification required.Front End Loading (FEL) project Methodology applied to CAPEX is desirable.Previous experience with process automation and process control in an industrial environment.Experience with Rockwell Plant PAx, Siemens PS7, and OSIsoft PI.Knowledge of Industrial Process Control including instrumentation, AC/DC Electrical systems, Piping & Instrument Diagrams.Experience with Process Safety and IEC61511.
