It's our R&D teams that ensure our company stays at the forefront of innovation, investigating and making use of the latest technology in order to enable our company to keep delivering outstanding experiences.What you'll do:As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for the design and development of new embedded electronics devices to drive innovative controls and control systems in consumer appliances, providing technical leadership and expertise in software development from conceptualization through production. We'll help you fly higher than ever before, and you'll help us keep shaping living for the better - one product at a time.In detail, you will:Design software and firmware solutions and specifications for electronic controls and control systems, based on a variety of requirement inputs (consumer, marketing and industrial design, product specification, etc.);Lead and participate in all stages of the embedded software development cycle, working with outside consultants, suppliers and contract manufacturers to develop and manufacture components and assemblies;Take part in participation and execution of analysis, testing and validation plans for software and firmware, performing design review, code review, static code analysis and white-box and gray-box testing;Develop PC-based user interface software, allowing engineers to configure, debug, and diagnose the embedded boards;Ensure smooth transition of new designs into production process, working closely with manufacturing teams and developing documentation according to internal and external product development management standards;Provide support and training on new products and software/firmware related topics as required;Participate in hardware design review and work with hardware engineers to provide alternative solutions.As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).Who you are:You have:Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering;Solid experience with developing and testing embedded firmware, preferably in a consumer appliances R&D environment;Experience with design and/or programming in C/C++ firmware for embedded systems;Experience with supplier management;Knowledge of generation of software specifications starting from product specifications;Knowledge of Renesas, Freescale and/or ST controllers and development environments and/or tools (experience with IAR is a plus);Knowledge of Agile methodologies;Advanced English.Where you'll be:You will be based at the Guabirotuba plant in Curitiba.
