ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specialist Formulation Research/Application Scientist:
- Cosmetic formulation expertise is necessary to develop hair care, skin care, sun care and color cosmetics formulas.-
- Support the development of formulations for functional claim substantiation of Vantage products and formulations. The role will be responsible for providing technical services, supporting the sales team addressing customer queries, and technical training the organization on the functionality of Vantage ingredients.-
- The Senior Specialist Formulation Research will have experience interacting with LATAM teams, global teams, global customers, and strong know-how of cosmetic/personal care formulations. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring close alignment with the R&D team, as well as collaboration with the Personal Care marketing and commercial teams.- Lead technical forum presentation and trade shows technical presentations.- Lead Customer Innovation sessions and regional webinars highlighting Vantage products and capabilities.- Provide competitive intelligence and technology trends based on customer interactions and published literature (and IP).- Laboratory safety is a must, and it is expected that the scientist practices the highest standards and best lab practices and will be a positive safety contributor at Vantage.- This role will be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil serving primarily Brazilian customers, but also providing support to other strategic customers in LATAM region according to the expertise needed.

Desired Background
University:
- BS degree or equivalent in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical Engineering. Significant experience in R&D and Technical Service as a lab scientist in a highly applied business.- Preferred: Specialization &/or MBA, MSc, or PhD
Language:
- Portuguese & English - Speak, Read, and Write (must be fluent)- Spanish - Speak and Read (at least intermediate level)
