Uses experience and knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance, or quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.
Main Responsibilities
Drive Carrier Supplier Excellence performance for assigned suppliers.
Supplier manufacturing quality – drive implementation of product certification (Pro-Cert) and Quality improvements at key Carrier suppliers (may be assigned specific commodities).
Provide on-site guidance and coaching to key suppliers to drive improvements in performance and champion onsite Supplier Quality Audits and Process Audits.
Design for manufacturing improvements on future products.
Support the Carrier manufacturing plants in improving PPAP completion/readiness.
Work with suppliers to improve warranty.
Act as a coach/facilitator for supplier quality improvement events and teaching quality tools.
Attain business objectives for quality, warranty spend, SPPM, FPY and safety.
Serve as quality expert in support of quality/compliance investigations, as required with the supplier base.
Minimum Requirements
Professional Bachelor Degree
BA/BS degree w/5-8+ years' experience.
MA/MS degree is a plus but not required.
Degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical engineering preferred.
Experience
Experience in quality and supplier quality disciplines with 3-6 years of direct work experience in quality, manufacturing, and engineering applying the quality tools including APQP, FMEA, Control plans, PPAP, Supplier Audits (similar to CQS, ISO/IATF), SPC, MSA, DoE and RRCA tools to drive zero defect quality.
Six Sigma black belt preferred.
Technical Knowledge
Strong organization, interpersonal and problem-solving / 8D / Look Across skills.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
Excellent project management skills and comfortable communicating at all levels of management and with external customers and suppliers.
English Level
Bilingual.
Travel Requirements
Approximately 30% travel will be required (as needed).
Must have VISA and passport.
