Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated specialist to help accelerate our growing Education as part of the World-Wide Public-Sector practice.
As a Technical Business Developer within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers.
Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the creation of the long-term technical vision and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures and strategies, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies, as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on the vertical as it relates to customer applications and services.
As a Technical Business Developer on our team, you will provide exceptional thought leadership to our customers while working with a world class sales technical and business development team.
You will lead efforts to create, capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS community.

With experience in the following key areas:
Education industry
Strategic – Creation of Technical Account planning and working backwards from Customer's needs
Technical presentation experience – Ideation, White board, small and large group presentations
Technical skills – Web Services development/deployment experience, cloud computing
Operational – Web services operations, management, and security
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.
AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ Years of experience in working and deploying solutions for customer in Education
- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g.
software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Experience in building Go-To-Market strategies and Technical Accounting Plans
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese
Position available in Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Brazil.
Around 25% of travel is required for this role.
