**The Team**:
Our team works in a collaborative environment with multiple teams across the upstream space to increase the quality of our deliverables and develop new ideas.
- We are considered an SME in the industry and being a team player is crucial in this role.
- Compilation and update of GEPS report including the meeting of publishing deadlines.
- Coordination of data management projects of the regional team.
- Knowledge and experience of exploration and production upstream to midstream activities and processes.
**The Impact**:
This role will include update areas in preparation for publication of large size regional maps. Other varied duties as assigned to produce a range of products relating to the scouting and databasing of the E&P industry in the LA region. Work closely with Regional Manager and other team members to ensure mutual support of GEPS products. This could include but is not restricted to providing spread sheet and graphs of development drilling and production. Ensuring GEPS contents is consistent between article and the appropriate model in the database.

**Activities**:
The field researcher is responsible for research, analysis, and reporting of information relating to oil and gas fields in the region assigned and the inputting and efficient assimilation of said data into the various GEPS products including the IRIS 21 database. The creation and inputting of data into an extensive Oracle database. The information is used by our external and internal clients in EDIN. Teams inside S&P Global use the EDIN data for analysis like: Vantage, Plays and Basins, Company and Transactions, Cost and Tech, among many others. The data in EDIN is essential for other products in the company.
**Some of the responsibility of the Field Researcher**:
Work closely with Basin Researcher to do historical clean-up of fields in prioritized basins prior to Basin Monitor being done for that particular basin.
Extensive research for information relating to oil and gas fields. Analyze and interpretation of data including electric logs, seismic, structure maps, cross-sections for the preparation of reports and the maintenance of an Oracle database of fields.
Update of field outlines in preparation for publication of large size regional or country maps.
Continuously updates / add data in the field data base - which clients pay to have access.
**What We're Looking For**:
A bachelor's degree in Geoscience.
IT skills, including the use of databases and GIS systems, MS Office software.
A Master and / or PhD degree, will be a plus
More than 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in Latin America
Ability to prioritize multiple objectives and work to deadlines.
Good English and Spanish communication skills with the ability to make presentations and write reports. Portuguese will be a plus.
