We are looking for a creative strategist with very strong account planning skills. This is a role for someone that take the lead on accounts, bring on their own development and help TLC to build its strategic offering at the same time. We are looking for people who have a proven background in planning, are able to present their own strategic insights that can excite clients and drive creative thinking. Experience in rewards/incentive marketing would be useful, but is not a mandate for the right person. JOB SUMMARY To raise the profile of Strategic Planning across TLC Brazil, concentrating on the core areas of: Information gathering (do we have enough to go on?) Insight generation Creative briefing Project output's quality control throughout the whole process (are we responding best to client's goals? Does it match expectations? Does it in line with client's positioning, strategy, and ongoing projects?) Stress-check of the proposal (What can go wrong? How can we best defend our strategic choices? What can we add to be more credible and appealing?) Pitch document creation (in collaboration with other departments) KPI setting and project evaluation KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Establish a culture of research-led consumer insight that informs a directional creative brief (already underway) Establish a culture of evaluation: guide clients on what to measure, ensure it gets measured (already underway) Establish the best-in-class process - from client brief to pitch/ presentation Research to understand the consumer habits (buying habits, preferences Create tools (briefs, templates, brainstorming, and workshop visual support tools) that make this easy Lead the education/training of TLC staff that allow it to take root Speak "client language", positioning TLC as a credible strategic partner - attending client meetings, developing long-term client relationships Work closely with Sales teams to keep focus throughout on the TLC business model Demonstrate effect on the bottom line: be aware of your contribution to ROI! SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS A Strategic Planner is the bridge between three Cs - Client, Consumer, and Creative. As such, you will need excellent people skills, sound business judgment, and immediately credible experience ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE Work experience in research, planning, or similar in the world of integrated marketing in a client-facing role for at least two successful years Excellent English, and ideally experience/qualification in at least one other language Great brand knowledge PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Curious about everything - especially people and brands Active in all media, hungry for new things, excited about living Doesn't trust assumptions Develops hunches, follows them, proves them Commercially astute Pragmatic & adaptable Understands that their role is to help TLC sell what differentiates TLC - not to steer us down a purist path for the sake of it Can take an active role in helping win business Really wants to work hard, play hard.
