Job ResponsibilitiesSet up Study Abroad advising appointments; provide information to students via email, social media, and print materials; answer Study Abroad questions and correspondence via email, mail, and phone; bring concerns of students or staff to the Coordinator; conduct formal and informal information sessions for events; create fliers and manage promotional materials; maintain up-to-date advising records; receive, file, and track key documents; save and/or upload documents on shared drive and application software; update program brochures in print and online; assist students as needed in each of 6 stages (research, application, preparation, pre-departure, while abroad, and returning). Other duties as assigned.
Minimum RequirementsEducation & Formal TrainingHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Computer SkillsExperience with Microsoft Office, Banner, or other databases preferred but not required.
ExperienceGood academic standing. Study abroad or international experience preferred but not required.
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of PositionDriver's license.
Special Skills, Abilities, and KnowledgeAttention to detail, communication skills (oral, written, and/or nonverbal), knowledge of a university environment preferred, human relations/interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality.
