Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day We are looking for an expert in the field of high voltage electrical design up to 170kV. You will have a proven track record ideally in the field of insulation design with a background in high voltage cable, termination or accessory design. Understanding of electrical field control methods is essential. Your principal responsibility is to have full technical responsibility and authority within area of expertise within the development department and across the wider business, whilst providing technical support and guidance simultaneously across multiple development projects. Another key area of the role is to ensure that our products comply with relevant standards and specifications applicable to area of expertise. How You'll Make an Impact General: Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with the relevant processes. Advise and share technical knowledge within area of expertise to engineers and the wider business. Checker and Approver responsibility for documentation and calculations. In depth expertise : Leverage your subject knowledge to provide insights, guidance, and solutions to complex challenges across the business. Serve as the go-to resource for technical inquiries, offering depth of understanding that drives decision-making and clear direction and solutions to complex challenges. Solution design and innovation: Apply your specialised expertise to develop innovative solutions that address intricate technical problems. Understand, share, and support the integration of emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, sharing your expertise to shape initiatives, projects, and product developments. Help foster a culture of knowledge-sharing through mentorship, training, and workshops. Engage with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex technical matters into clear, actionable insights. What You Bring Expert knowledge within high voltage electrical products, ideally HV cable, termination or accessory design. Expertise in complex design, innovation, and project management. Exceptional analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. Proven track record with introducing new materials, technology, and processes. Passionate about area of expertise with strong external peer network.
