Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations in the production area of the foundry to ensure compliance with established production goals in terms of quality, quantity, and deadlines.
Monitor and control the performance of the production team, providing guidance, feedback, and training as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.
Coordinate machining activities, ensuring efficient use of available resources, including labor, machines, and materials.
Stay updated on the latest technologies and practices in the foundry area, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments such as engineering/processes, quality, logistics/PCP, SSMA, and maintenance (Industrial and Infrastructure) to ensure proper integration of foundry activities with the rest of the production chain.
Manage inventory of products in process and for rework.
Participate in meetings related to production, quality, and the introduction of new products and equipment for the foundry area.
Directly supervise operations, monitoring the work of the team and providing guidance and training.
Oversee the scheduling of foundry activities, distributing tasks to leaders, ensuring production performance and efficient resource utilization.
Actively collaborate with other departments, participating in meetings and ensuring proper integration of machining activities.
Ensure compliance with established production goals in terms of quality, quantity, deadlines, health, safety, and environmental preservation.
Promote a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Continuously seek improvements in foundry processes and procedures to increase efficiency, reduce setup time, and enhance production quality.
Contribute to the overall success of the company through efficient supervision of production.
Minimum Requirements:
Higher education in foundry technology, metallurgy, or engineering (Metallurgical, Production, Mechanical, or Electrical).
Experience in production in the foundry sector.
Experience in ISO-certified companies.
Knowledge of safety regulations.
Interpersonal skills (ability to lead with differences).
Flexibility to work different shifts.
Knowledge of operations related to foundries.
Teamwork skills.
Postgraduate education in the area.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools.
Training in Six Sigma.
Training in machining.
