Supply Chain/ Inventory Controller
If you are passionate about supporting the North American service sales staff by being the Back end support by managing right level of inventory, and ensuring financial and management reporting team to capture each and every sales into reporting with cost of sales, this opportunity is for you. You need to,
- Perform weekly and monthly periodic closures relating to inventory transactions, service accruals, material rebates, and other cost allocations across business value streams within the North American business entity.
- Root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, look for continuous improvement opportunities in inventory and costing transaction processes.
- Appropriately recording and reconciling inventory transactions related to Inter-plant stock transfers in the SAP MM/EWM system.
- Maintain inventory controls and monitor cycle count processes.
- Coordinate monthly and annual physical inventory count and post adjustments for differences.
- Drafting inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.
- Reporting inventory statistics to management and suggesting improvements to inventory control.
- Maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in the SAP system.
- Process monthly and annual Costing Runs.
- Review production orders for cost discrepancies and perform price adjustments.
Ability to work in USA working hours (05:30PM - 03:00AM in Sri Lanka time) is a must.
EXTERNAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/ Finance from a recognized University;
- Full qualification in CIMA (UK) / ACCA (UK) / CA (SL);
- 4 - 6 years of experience in working with financial data related to costing and inventory in manufacturing and warehousing industry;
- Possess a solid understanding of standard costing systems and inventory valuation;
- Knowledge of US GAAP, including inventory valuation;
- SAP experience including SAP EWM, Cost Center planning, standard costing, Inventory and production variance analysis;
- Advanced proficiency and experience with Microsoft Excel and related financial systems;
- Excellent level of verbal and written English communication skills.
