Support Engineer

Project Description: Oil and Gas company needs a Flow Management support engineer Responsibilities: To perform daily operation to support the prod Mandatory Skills Description: • Ability to understand wiring diagrams, hooking up low voltage electronics, running sensor and networking cables • Understanding of Hazardous Area Classifications with regards to electronic devices (Sensors, PLCs, Computers, HMIs) • Fundamental understanding of computer networking and troubleshooting • Experience working with sensors (pressure, temperature, flow) • Control System Protocols - OPC-UA, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet (Minimum 1 of these.
They don't have to be experts, just general experience and knowledge) • PLCs- Siemens, Allen Bradley (Preferred experience with Siemens, They don't have to be programmers, just general experience and knowledge) • Linux Devices - SSH, Command Line Interface (Network configuration, troubleshooting, executing scripts) • Knowledge of wireless communications and architectures (Radio networks ex: LoRaWAN, WirelessHART) Nice-to-Have Skills Description: Message Brokers - MQTT, RMQ (Just general awareness of what they are, how they are used) • Containerization - Docker, Kubernetes
