The Syndicate Banker is a senior level position responsible for centralizing the Global Spread Products (GSP) syndications, predominantly Latina American private structured credits originated and structured by the Emerging Market Credit Trading team.
The Senior Syndicate Professional will be covering the whole Latin America while being based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The selected candidate will have direct access to Citi clients as well as indirect access via coverage professionals within markets as well as within GSP, in addition to be in charge of finding new clients.Responsibilities:Assume significant levels of responsibility for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development and overall growth of the firm.Work closely with clients on obtaining the commitments necessary to complete syndications, while guiding them through the process, including leading due diligence and drafting sessions and supporting efforts for their internal committees.Work with clients and their senior and C level team members, while also covering dialogues with professional advisors involved in potential transactions which might lead to our syndications.Responsible for drafting pitch materials, information memoranda, investor and management presentations and overseeing work performed by analysts & associates assigned to projects.Qualifications:Minimum 8 years of experience in sales and trading, syndications within private credit.Strong overall experience in the Financial Services industry, with specific focus on Private Structured Credit.Degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration.MBA or Master's Degree in Business preferred.Comprehensive knowledge of the corporate banking business and its related products, pertinent regulations and lending and credit approval processes.Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products.Education:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.Master's degree preferred.Languages:English, Spanish, and Portuguese preferred, as most of the conversation with investors will be in Spanish and Portuguese .This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
