Included in a project team and managed by the Project Manager, the R&D System Product Technical Leader is in direct contact with the customer (internal or external) and is considered the key contact on technical matters. She/he is accountable for the complete product definition & validation in accordance with functional & robustness requirements. She/he is empowered to manage functionally its respective R&D contributors, allowing them to reach the QCD targets of the project.
Knowledge and Skills
Experienced in driving the software, hardware, mechanical & application requirements.
Good in requirement management and overall traceability.
Good in customer RFQ analysis and support for design reviews.
Good in effort estimation.
Exposure to norms and regulations, functional safety, and cybersecurity.
Experienced in system testing and vehicle-level validation.
Roles and Responsibilities
Identify customer and other stakeholder needs at the system level.
Design system element requirements to meet customer application needs.
Manage project/platform associated validation plans.
Ensure compatibility/standardization between existing projects/platforms if relevant.
Secure product robustness and apply standards.
Support projects on technical and process-related aspects in specific assignments on site.
Assess and report the actual situation of organizational units and/or projects in assessments and system design reviews.
Manage specific support activities including schedule and results. Define, track, and actively support action plans to handle identified issues in projects and organizational units.
Qualifications
Engineer or Master of Science degree with general technical skills, particularly in Electronics, Electricals, or Mechatronics.
