Global Corporate Tax is responsible to ensure the firm's compliance with tax laws and associated reporting obligations of the countries and local jurisdictions in which the firm conducts business.
As part of the firm's second line of defense, Global Tax analyzes and supports the activities, operations, reporting obligations, and transactions of the firm's business lines to ensure that tax consequences and reputational risks are evaluated appropriately.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a Senior Analyst/Junior Associate with prior experience in financial institutions, consulting, or law firms.
The successful candidate should be prepared to take on responsibilities encompassing financial products taxation, as well as reporting obligations in LatAm with a specific focus in Brazil and Mexico, and monitoring tax legislation in an assertive, proactive, and efficient manner.
Being part of the Tax, you will:
Compute and collect taxes on clients' transactions
Review data for and prepare clients financial statements
Prepare and file tax obligations, i.e.
Withholding tax returns, FATCA & CRS obligations, Informative Tax returns, etc.
Ensure the accuracy of balance sheet accounts against the different Operations systems
Work closely with the Operations team to ensure consistency and compliance with tax legislation
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and withholding requirements for the LatAm region
Continue to develop a system/approach to ensure the accuracy and completeness of work papers for all tax returns
Skills & Experience we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Fluent in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus)
3-5 years of work experience in financial institutions, consulting firms (Big Four), providing tax compliance support to financial institutions, or law firms
Demonstrated ability to work across products, regions, and functions, preferably in the financial services industry
Strong data-analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with an ability to understand complex workflows
Proven ability to organize and prioritize workload and drive results
Excellent attitude and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar
Proactive and self-starting individual with a high level of ownership
Flexibility and ability to learn quickly
Great judgment
Focus on collaboration and on delivering results
Capacity to lead and coordinate projects
