Minimum Requirements
You must have a CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent initial teaching qualification.
The role is open only to those with the right to work in the EU.
Any experience working with children in any capacity will be helpful.
Job Description
About the Job:
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated teachers, whether you are newly qualified or a teacher with some experience, who want to join a school where they will develop and gain experience.
IH Brno is well-known locally, and in the International House network, for its teacher development program.
Our teachers have mentors, weekly teacher development sessions, personal development plans, and regular peer observations.
You will have around 15+ teaching hours of English classes per week (one teaching hour is 45 minutes) across a variety of contexts and levels both at school and off-site - although Brno is quite compact and travel times are generally quite low whether from school or home.
There are also 2 - 4 hours of development and other duties, such as staff meetings.
There is no teaching at the weekend.
Contract for Work: September 2024 - June 2025
Our contract for work is for 10 months.
However, the agreement can be extended beyond that with the right candidates.
About the School and City
IH Brno was established in 1990 and continues to be a small and friendly school that enjoys a good reputation in our city.
We teach general English to adults at all levels from beginner to proficiency.
We also run exam classes preparing students for the KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, and BEC exams.
