Responsibilities and DutiesDesign, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions;Influence and mentor a distributed set of engineers;Experience building scaled web-based applications with deep understanding of business goals;Exceptional technical design and technical communication skills;Able to mentor engineers to help them grow in their technical proficiency and leadership skills;Able to negotiate trade offs between product and engineering priorities to maximize the business value of engineering effort;Quality driven -- You are able to work fast and deliver fast, check your work and take pride in shipping quality;Innovative -- You take the initiative to find new ways to solve problems. Essential SkillsStrong proficiency with one or more programming languages (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc);Experience with React, and PostgreSQL;Experience with cloud providers, preferrable AWS;Solid experience with RESTful services and APIs;Strong foundations in UI development and product security and or DevOps is helpful;Expert -- You know a couple of languages cold and learning new technologies is standard fare.
