TECHNICAL DIRECTORThis is an Expat role based in Accra, Ghana.Location: AccraIndustry: Civil Engineering, Construction & EngineeringJob Term: One Year Contract (Renewable)Reports to: Managing DirectorBenefits: Accommodation, Medical Insurance, Fuel allowance, Utilities, Flight TicketsOur client is a key player within the engineering and construction sector, providing a wide range of construction solutions across Africa and Europe.Scope: The Technical Director will primarily act as the single contact between the Technical Office in Ghana and Europe, support resident engineers & deputy resident engineers on site regarding project designs, contractual issues, and site documentation, and contribute to the development of the Technical Office in Ghana.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with Management in achieving general and technical objectives.Direct and coordinate the activities of the Technical Office.Ensure the regularity of the Technical Office's processes and implement a Document Control Plan and Quality procedures for the Company.Ensure the implementation of directives and plans within the prescribed timeframe, through the efficient and effective management of resources.Ensure a timely request to the Technical Office in Rome for project tasks, design, and engineering for the Technical Office personnel.Supervise the management of the Technical Office while respecting the autonomy of the Technical Office Coordinator and Operations.Supervise correct communication between the Technical Office in Accra and the Technical Office in Europe.Oversee relations with our Client for the services provided by the Company, specifically regarding design and contractual aspects of the projects.Supervise the management of the design and ensure that the deadline for its technical progress is met.Supervise the preparation of technical drawings.Propose initiatives to Management aimed at rationalizing technical services, streamline procedures, and provide uniformity among various projects.Assist Management in periodical reports on the branch's performance providing appropriate analyses.Ensure that archives and information back-ups relevant to the sector of responsibility are kept and updated.Requirements:The ideal candidate would have extensive technical experience in railway engineering at a supervisory level with international work experience, particularly within Sub-Saharan Africa.A minimum of 7 years experience working in a similar role within railway engineering or transport engineering is mandatory.A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or relevant fields.A Master's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering will be an added advantage.Must have a professional/advanced/proficient user level in English language.Excellent supervisory skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to analyze financial data.Proficient in Microsoft 365 ecosystem with advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.NB: All applicants must provide their CVs in English.#J-18808-Ljbffr
