Technical Project Developer The Green Branch is looking for an enthousiastic Technical Project Developer to join our Carbon Asset Development team in Brazil.
This role focuses on creating partnerships, managing stakeholders, onboarding new projects, and developing technical documentation to advance our carbon asset initiatives in Brazil and other regions.
The Green Branch is a developer of large-scale reforestation projects in Brazil creating a portfolio of high-quality carbon credit projects to supply the Voluntary Carbon Market.
We work alongside nature and those depending on it to transform degraded land into resilient forests.
Together with our partners, we plant biodiverse forests with native species, striving to bring it back to its original ecosystem and empowering local communities to restore their degraded lands.

Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands Start date: 01-01-2024 Key responsibilities: · Certification support: Assist projects in achieving VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) and CCB (Climate, Community & Biodiversity) certification.
· Technical documentation: Develop technical documentation including monitoring plans, sampling designs, and reports to support project development and certification processes.
· Business model development: Design and implement innovative business models that support the sustainable growth of our carbon asset projects.
· Market research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the carbon asset and environmental sectors.
Partnership development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with organizations, NGOs, and government bodies to enhance our carbon asset projects.
Stakeholder management: Engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout project lifecycles.
Project onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding of new carbon asset projects, ensuring smooth integration into our portfolio.
Communication and reporting: Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Profile and skills: Educational background: Completed a degree in Environmental Science, Forest engineering & management, Sustainability, or a related field.
Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of forestry, ecology, sustainability, and carbon markets.
Familiarity with remote sensing tools (e.g., QGIS, LiDAR, SAR), forest engineering and agroforestry planting designs is a plus.
Experience: 2+ years experience in partnership development, stakeholder management, and business model innovation within the environmental sector.
Experience in GHG calculations and developing carbon profiles for forestry and land use projects.
Experience in developing documentation for Verra and Puro.earth standards is a plus.
Communication skills: Excellent written and spoken English.
Portuguese is a plus .
Team player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Location: Based in the Netherlands, with a preference for working together in the office to facilitate supervision and enhance communication and feedback loops.
Passion for the environment: A strong interest in environmental issues, particularly in restoration, conservation, and sustainable development.
