Hoymiles has a significant R&D team to design and manufacture state-of-the-art microinverters & hybrid inverters for the international markets.
To develop our business in Brazil and deliver better service to our customers, we are looking for an experienced
Technical Support Engineer
for Pre-Sales activities and After-Sales Services in Brazil, reporting to the head of technical support HQ and dotted-line reporting to the Latin America Sales Director.
Major Responsibilities:
After Sales:
Maintain the service level and fulfill service requests from local customers, especially our VIP customers.
Establish the internal and external training system and localize training materials.
Lead negotiations with local service partners, including 3rd party service companies, logistics, and warehouse vendors.
Manage contracts with local service partners, including drafting, renewing, and termination.
Follow the RMA process to ensure timely closure.
Develop solutions to optimize local service quality, including technical guidance, service response time, spare unit pool management, faulty unit disposal, and total costs.
Provide service reports to HQ on a regular basis.
Complete temporary tasks assigned by the head of technical support HQ or Latin America Sales Director.
Pre-Sales:
Collaborate with the sales team to plan and complete technical exchanges with Brazilian customers, train clients, and present detailed technical solutions.
Prepare presentation documents, technical explanations, and other related files, including bidding documents to maintain customer satisfaction and service levels.
Analyze legal technical requirements and certifications for defined countries and drive execution of agreed and required certificates.
Monitor the market environment and provide competitive information.
Regularly analyze competitors' products and features and work closely with the HQ team to finish competitive analysis.
Provide strong support to the sales team, visit clients and project sites, support system planning, and guide PV system installations and service strategy implementation.
Coordinate with the sales team to organize training sessions and attend exhibitions.
Required Experience and Competence:
Based in Brazil and willing to accept national and international travel to ensure the local service team delivers good service, depending on business requests.
HBO diploma in an Electro-technical direction and/or a qualified education within the solar energy industry.
At least 3 years of technical background work experience; experience in the renewable industry is preferred.
At least 1 year of professional experience working with inverter technologies (e.g., R&D, service, pre- and post-sales) is preferred.
Self-driven mindset, willing to investigate and resolve problems, report with clear logic, and provide multiple proposals to choose from.
International mindset for a multi-cultural environment.
Fluent in Portuguese & English.
