THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a Backend Software Engineer to our Access team in Brazil! This position is for the Access Team, which is responsible for ensuring access to our clients' employees, as well as their families. Our flow has an important role in Wellhub's growth and that's why we are constantly working and searching for new solutions to offer an intuitive and simple experience to verify the eligibility and sign up our members.
YOUR IMPACT
Help to define the architecture of systems and integrations, bring innovation to the table, and making sure design docs are up to date;
Ensure successful deliveries, and promote the long-term technical health of our journeys;
Ensure a high bar on code quality standards, making sure devs are proud of their work;
Spread development best practices such as code reviews, pair programming, TDD, etc;
Build reusable code for future use;
Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production;
Live the mission: inspire and empower others by genuinely caring for your own wellbeing and your colleagues.
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
Experience designing and developing complex modern web applications;
Experience with at least two different programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, Golang or Scala;
Experience with microservices and high volume distributed systems;
Experience in developing RESTful web services collaborating with front-end teams to create mocks, define payloads, and HTTP status of APIs;
Experience with SQL/NoSQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB;
Experience dealing with event-driven architectures and message brokers.
Experience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;
Experience with monitoring, observability, and KPIs tracking;
Experience with Cloud-based architectures in AWS;
Well developed communication skills, capable of clearly articulating ideas;
Ability to communicate in English.
