Job Location: Remote Job description: Accountable for the support of in-house applications including diagnosis of issues and development of hotfixes, to deliver level 1 & 2 support for our internal systems. First line of support for incident response, diagnosis, and escalation Comfortable with monitoring and observability systems, ensuring any notifications or alerts are responded to. Contributor to process, procedure & support documentation, ensuring alignment to any change or new development Contributor to service improvement initiatives for operational excellence and process improvement Contributor to developing IT Service Management and DevOps practices into support teams Person Specification: 3+ years application support role in a 24 x 7 operation. Proficient in using system and application monitoring products (Grafana, Kibana, Site 24/7) Proficient in incident management and root cause analysis. Proficient experience in supporting live production systems. Understanding of Technology Service Management, knowledge of ITIL desirable Experience of support within Cloud Service Providers (Azure) Exposure to DevOps and Agile ways of working would be an advantage. Full understanding of CI/CD process and DevOps best practices. Have experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps preferable) Able work with scripting languages (bash, PowerShell). Prior experience with relational database, MongoDB, Databases is desirable. Understanding application containerization technologies. Have experience with Docker. Have good understanding or experience with containers orchestration.
